Dave Roberts

Dave Roberts headshotDave Roberts is Sr. Director, Cloud Application Strategy, at Cisco Systems. Dave has 25 years of experience in the information technology space and has held a variety of senior marketing and product management positions at startups and multi-billion dollar companies. In 2000, Dave founded Inkra Networks, an early leader in the software-defined networking space. He began his career with engineering positions at Hewlett-Packard. Dave is an inventor of nine patents, is the author of three books, and holds a BS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

 

Scott Bils

Bils_Headshot (2)Scott Bils is a Partner, Cloud & IT-as-a-Service (ITaaS) Transformation at EMC. Previously, Scott was a Partner  at the Everest Group and leader of the firms’ Cloud and Next Generation IT Practice. Scott was also the founding CEO of Conformity, Inc., a venture-backed pioneer in the cloud identity and SaaS management space. Previously, Scott held senior executive marketing and product roles at several leading early stage enterprise software and SaaS vendors including Scalable Software, Troux Technologies and Trilogy. Scott was also an Engagement Manager At McKinsey & Company, and a Senior Consultant at Accenture. Scott holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a BA degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

 

Joe Weinman

WeinmanJoe Weinman is Senior Vice President, Cloud Services and Strategy at Telx. He has held executive leadership positions at AT&T, Hewlett-Packard, and Bell Laboratories, in areas such as corporate strategy, business development, product management, operations, and R&D. Named a “Top 10 Cloud Computing Leader” by TechTarget, Weinman is the author of Cloudonomics: The Business Value of Cloud Computing, a frequent international keynote speaker, and the founder of Cloudonomics: a rigorous, multidisciplinary approach to valuing the cloud. He has been awarded 15 U.S. and international patents in diverse fields and has been showcased in numerous print and online publications and global video broadcasts. He has a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from Cornell University and UW-Madison respectively.

 

Brian Butte

ButteBrian Butte is a Director of Technology Strategy for Financial Services at AT&T where he advises large banks on transformation strategies leveraging emerging technologies including cloud, big data, and software defined networking.  Prior to AT&T Brian was a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Strategy Advisory practice focused on Cloud Strategy and IT Transformation, Senior Enterprise Architect at IBM and Manager of Embedded Software Engineering at EDS.  Brian started his career in artificial intelligence developing enhanced embedded and distributed control systems for plant floor automation and vehicles.  Brian earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

 

Alistair Croll

CrollAlistair has been an entrepreneur, author, and public speaker for nearly 20 years. He’s worked on a variety of topics, from web performance, to big data, to cloud computing, to startups, in that time. In 2001, he co-founded web performance startup Coradiant (acquired by BMC in 2011), and since that time has also launched Rednod, CloudOps, Bitcurrent, Year One Labs, the Bitnorth conference, the International Startup Festival and several other early-stage companies. Alistair is the chair of O’Reilly’s Strata conference, Cloud Connect, and Interop’s Enterprise Cloud Summit. He is the author of four books on technology and entrepreneurship, including the best-selling Lean Analytics. Alistair lives in Montreal, Canada and tries to mitigate chronic ADD by writing about far too many things at Solve For Interesting.

 

Mark Thiele

thieleMark Thiele is EVP of Data Center Tech at Switch, where he is responsible for evaluating new data center technologies, developing partners and providing industry thought leadership.  Prior to joining Switch, Mark was vice president of Data Center Strategy at ServiceMesh, a leading cloud management platform company. He is also founder and president of Data Center Pulse, a not-for-profit group focused on improving efficiency in data centers and providing a voice for the owner/operators. Mark’s career includes positions at VMware and Gilead. Mark is an advisor to venture firms and start-ups, and is a globally-recognized speaker at premier industry events. He is listed as a “Top 100 Cloud” and “Top 10 Data Center” blogger. His SwitchSCRIBE blog is an industry go-to resource.

 

Phil Thames

downloadPhil is a Senior Advisor at Leverhawk focused on consulting and advisory services around ITaaS and IT transformation. Previously he was Group Director of Product Management for Xerox’s Cloud Services leading strategy, creation and go-to-market for all Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings. Also Phil held several leadership roles for Dell/Perot Systems including running the Global Enterprise Technology Consulting delivery organization and a Healthcare business unit where he implemented IT-as-a-Service, SaaS, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Operations-as-a-Service (OaaS). Phil earned a bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University, a master’s degree in Applied Technology (current designation) from University of Texas at Dallas.
